Dear Diary,

        So, were I an outdoor turtle - you know, the kind that hang out in a pond all year? - I'd be hibernating right about now. Yeah, that's just how the world works. You end up with lights and warmth during the winter and you have insomnia for six months straight. My sister Bartlett is napping a lot during the day, but me...? I HAVE ANIMAL CROSSING: WILD WORLD!

I HAVE THE GAME!

        I admit that the delay in writing is partially due to the fact that I've been so busy playing. I currently share a town with Jess from AXA. I couldn't really help that, the human shares a house with me in real life, and I couldn't say no without making things awkward around here. She's such an incredible slob too… She DID pay off a good chunk of the mortgage, but did she HAVE to pick a shocking pink roof? I HATE PINK.

        That's all you get to see of the house right now. Maybe I'll give you a grand tour when I fancy the insides up a bit. Oh, and that's me on the doorstep. It's a bit strange playing as a human in a town full of animals. I love my new hat, though. Jess bought it for me as a surprise. Ooo, and my hair? I got that cut visiting Nookington's at Lionheart2k4's town. Yeah, it's pretty neat, isn't it? Crowster made me pose for the hairstyle guide. (We AXA staffers have been busy!)

Crow Drawing

        Yup, that's Crow behind me. I had to stand still and not move while he drew. After that, he went off to draw more hair in another town and I went to talk to the animals. I have to say, a lot seem to have moved in, but I'm not sure how many more are coming. I see the same faces all the time. I hope Mathilda moves out. I never liked her much on the Gamecube version, although she does seem a bit mellower now. I'm offended, though. She doesn't remember me at all, the jerk.

        Let's see, the names--Pierce, Bluebear, Hugh, Mathilda (ugh), Kabuki, Anchovy, Truffles, and Savannah currently live in my village. They're okay, but the best part is that I CAN SEE TORTIMER ANY TIME I WANT! He's hard to find, but if you peek in the town hall at juuuust the right angle you can see him working back there. I wish he'd come out more, but there's a fishing tourney soon and well… maybe, just maybe…

        Well, I'm going to get back to playing now. There's still so much to see and do in the game that I just don't have the time to write anymore. Oh, I almost forgot. Bartlett (when she's not napping) keeps telling me that she's a bigger Animal Crossing fan than I am. Can you believe that?
